When to consider hospice
A common misconception about hospice is that it’s only for people in the last few days of life or that it will shorten the time you have left. The truth is many people are eligible for hospice much sooner than they realize. And contrary to popular belief, choosing hospice care early may actually help you live better, longer.
According to a study published in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management, patients who choose hospice early lived one month longer on average than non-hospice patients. researchers concluded that hospice supports life by focusing on comfort care by providing the patient with greater, more frequent personalized attention, on all aspects of their well-being.
Bereavement
At Quality, our care doesn’t end with the life of a patient—it extends to the loved ones who remain. Our bereavement support services are designed to provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to families and caregivers as they navigate grief and loss.
We offer personalized support through one-on-one counseling, support groups, educational materials, and memorial services. Our trained bereavement counselors and chaplains are here to walk alongside you for up to 13 months following a loss, ensuring you don’t have to grieve alone.
